MockDefense
How it works

From summary to scored defense in one sitting

MockDefense turns your dissertation into a live oral exam. Four steps, no scheduling, no favours owed.

  1. Describe your dissertation

Give a two-minute summary of your argument, methods, and contribution. You do not need a finished draft — enough to defend the core claim is enough to start.

  2. Pick how you want to be tested

Run a full mock defense across every area, or a focused drill on a single weak spot before a committee meeting or proposal hearing.

  3. The committee questions you

A chair, a methodologist, and an outside examiner rotate through your work, following up on weak answers with the next question you were hoping to avoid. You answer in your own words, in real time.

  4. Get scored, specific feedback

Each answer is assessed question by question, with written feedback on where you were convincing and where an examiner would keep pushing.
